Jeremiah Thomas Clifford

Jeremiah Thomas Clifford was born in Tipperary on 15 November 1923 and educated at Limerick CBS. He played at prop for Young Munster and completed a hat-trick of appearances for Munster against international touring teams - Australia (1947), South Africa (1951) and New Zealand (1953). He worked in an abattoir for the local council in Limerick. On the British Isles' tour to Australasia in 1950 he played in 20 matches, including five tests, and kicked 14 points, highlighted by two long-range penalty goals against Hawke's Bay. Tom Clifford died on 1 October 1990, aged 66.
