Anthony Clement

Anthony Clement was born in Morriston on 8 February 1967 and educated at the local comprehensive school. He played at fly-half for Swansea but at international level was used in several positions. His first cap for Wales was a replacement centre against USA in 1987 - he scored two tries - and his first full game against England three months later was at full-back. He returned to centre and also fly-half and wing at various times in his 37 internationals. In 1989 he joined the British Isles tour of Australia as a replacement and made two appearances - one as a wing against NSW Country and the second as a replacement centre against an ANZAC XV. In 1993 he was an original selection as a full-back on the British Isles tour to New Zealand and played in seven games - five at full-back and two at centre. Tony Clement later coached the Swansea club.
