Alan John Charron

Alan John Charron, known as Al, was born in Ottawa and worked as a civil servant. He played at lock and in the back row for Ottawa Irish before embarking on a much-travelled club career that included Bristol, Pau, Dax and Moseley. Between 1990 and 2003 he played in 80 internationals for Canada and in four Rugby World Cups including 2005 when he was captain.
