Bernard Capaldi

Bernard Capaldi was born in Evesham on 15 June 1944 and educated at St Mary's Primary School in the town, Cotton College and the universities of Aston and Warwick. He worked as a design engineer and played at wing-forward for the Cheltenham club as well as Coventry, Bristol and Bridgwater. At county level he represented Gloucestershire and Leicestershire. In January 1967 he played for Western Counties against Australia and the following November for South of England against New Zealand.
