Marco Bortolami

Marco Bortolami was born in Padova on 12 June 1980. He played for Padua and Narbonne and when he joined Gloucester in 2006 he was immediately appointed captain. He later joined Aironi. He was the youngest player to captain Italy at the age of 22 and by 2011 had gained 88 caps at lock, a national record in that position. He also played in three Rugby World Cups between 2003 and 2011.
