Serge Blanco

Serge Blanco was born in Caracas, Venezuela, on 31 August 1958. Initially an office worker, he later owned hotels and became president of his home club, Biarritz Olympique. Between 1980 and 1991 he established a new record as the world's most capped player. His 93 caps for France included 12 on the wing and the remainder at full-back where he was also regarded as the best in the world. He captained France in 14 internationals and scored 233 points, including 38 tries.
