Phillip John Blakeway

Phillip John Blakeway was born in Cheltenham on 31 December 1950 and educated at King's School, Sherborne. He was a company director in fruit and vegetables and played at prop for Cheltenham and Gloucester. Between 1980 and 1985 he played in 19 internationals for England. On the 1980 British Isles' tour of South Africa he played against a SARA Invitation XV at East London but suffered a recurrence of a rib injury and flew home early.
