Thomas William Bell was born in Plymouth on 11 November 1992. He played at centre for England under-16 and under-18 and club rugby for Bristol and Sale Sharks. Tommy Bell made his debut for the Barbarians as a replacement in the Mobbs Memorial Match of 2010 at the age of 17 years 111 days.
