Dennis Fenwick Allison

Dennis Fenwick Allison (known as Fenwick) was born in the north-east of England on 20 April 1931. Originally a member of the Northern club he moved to the midlands and became a fixture at full-back in the strong Coventry team of the 1950s. He won seven England caps between 1956 and 1958 and kicked five penalty goals. His Barbarian debut was in the club's first ever game in Ireland against Ulster Select at Ravenhill in October 1957. The father-in-law of Ian Metcalfe [qv]. He died on 13 April 2009.
