England Rugby and Barbarian FC confirm date for rescheduled Quilter Cup
The Barbarians will take on England in the rescheduled Quilter Cup on Sunday 25 October, KO 14:00, live on Sky Sports.
Eddie Jones, Head Coach for the Barbarians ahead of their match against Fiji last November, will bring a strong England side to Twickenham ahead of their trip to Italy for the rearranged final game in the Guinness Six Nations 2020.
Barbarian F.C. President John Spencer said: “We are looking forward to the return of international rugby and facing England in the Quilter Cup. While we will not be able to welcome our supporters to Twickenham, safety is paramount and the government’s directive is clear.
Confirmations of the Barbarians coaching staff and players will follow in the coming weeks.
England head coach Eddie Jones said: “This game will be an important start to the autumn for us. We are excited to represent England. We will train and prepare well and are looking forward to being back at Twickenham Stadium.”
RFU CEO Bill Sweeney added: ““We are pleased to commence our autumn internationals with a match against Barbarian F.C. and are looking forward to an exciting match against historic opposition.”
