Barbarians FC have confirmed a spectacular feast of international rugby with a men’s and women’s double-header taking place at Allianz Stadium, London, on Saturday, 27th June 2026.

The celebration of rugby will see the two Barbarians teams take to the field in back-to-back clashes against Wales.

In true Barbarians style and tradition, we can expect a showcase of international rugby with speed, flair and free-flowing creativity on the cards not once but twice in west London in June.

Tickets will go on general sale from 11am on Thursday, 29 January via Ticketmaster.co.uk and England Rugby, starting from just *£40 for adults and *£20 for under-16s (booking fees apply).

John Spencer, President of Barbarian F.C. commented, “Barbarians fixtures excite supporters like no other and being able to announce a double header encounter will only amplify that excitement.”

“Our men’s and women’s teams will be centre stage in a landmark day of rugby in London as we take on a true rugby nation, twice in one day – Wales. The day will be a prime example of what Barbarians F.C. stand for – flair, passion and the global spirit of the game.”

“This fixture will mark another chapter in our history. I’m excited to see the squads announced and we can’t wait to deliver a showcase of rugby that reflects the best of this great club.”

The Barbarians Women’s fixture is a repeat of the 2019 meeting between the two sides in Cardiff, which the Barbarians edged 29 v 15.

The Barbarians and Wales have a proud history together with 10 Welsh women have had the honour of wearing the famous black and white jersey including the likes of Rachel Taylor, Elinor Snowsill and Jasmine Joyce.

Since the women’s team’s inception in 2017, the Barbarians team have been at the fore front of the game and this encounter against Wales as part of a Barbarians double header will carry on that trend.

Fiona Stockley, Barbarians Women’s Lead and Committee Member remarked, “The Club is delighted to welcome the Welsh Women’s squad to the Allianz Stadium for a repeat of our double header fixture in 2019 at the Principality Stadium; we see this second fixture as a measure of the rich history between the Barbarians Club and Welsh Rugby”

“The Barbarians spirit in every team assembled is all about flair, skill, and camaraderie, and we expect a truly entertaining brand of rugby from a rich squad of players. You can expect to see stars of both the global stage and the English PWR league in our women’s fixture, following on from an incredibly successful RWC 2025, which has increased visibility and participation levels for women and girls.”

“It will be an incredible weekend of womens rugby, with Twickenham becoming the epicentre over one weekend with the Barbarians against Wales at rugby HQ on Saturday (insert time) followed on Sunday by the PWR Final at the Stoop. You can expect to see stars of both the global stage and the English PWR league in our Double Header in what hopes to follow on from an incredibly successful RWC 2025 which has increased visibility and participation levels for women and girls”

Wales will use the match in London as an important part of their preparations for the inaugural Nations Championship when they will face Southern Hemisphere rivals Fiji, Argentina and South Africa in consecutive weeks in July.

Wales Men’s Head Coach Steve Tandy said: “Playing against the Barbarians is always a very special occasion. They play with freedom and creativity and bring together some of the best players in the world. This is a game that will be an important part of our preparation as we gear up for the Nations Championship and I’m sure it will offer up some exciting action for fans.”
