The Barbarians are continuing to build a busy autumn schedule, supporting nations in their Rugby World Cup preparations and clubs get match time in while rugby’s blue-ribbon event is underway.

The Barbarians will head to Barcelona’s RCDE Stadium, the home of Espanyol Barcelona, to face French Top 14 side USAP.

The match comes ten years after USAP last played in the capital of Catalonia.

While the precise date is to be confirmed, likely Friday 22 or Saturday 23 September, the red-and-gold will take on the Barbarians, who are effectively playing a European tour to kick off the new season.

USAP gladly stepped up to agree the match, allowing them to continue preparations for their domestic campaign after a fortnight’s break at the start of the Rugby World Cup.

The 40,000 seater stadium is based in the nearby town of Cornellà El Prat.
