Ali Williams to captain Barbarians at Worcester

WORLD CUP winner Ali Williams captains the Barbarians when they take on Worcester Warriors for the first time this weekend.
The former New Zealand lock leads a cosmopolitan team with internationals from eight different nations at Sixways on Saturday (3pm). The side contains six changes from the team that beat Samoa 27-24 at the former Olympic Stadium last weekend.
Australia fly half Mike Harris and wing Dom Shipperley come into the back line alongside veteran Italy scrum half Paul Griffen.
In the forwards, Williams, Silatolu Latu (Waratahs) and former USA captain Todd Clever all step into the starting line-up.
Recently added to this week’s squad is Aled Brew (Dragons & Wales) who takes over from Stade Francais full back Paul Williams.
Adam Thomson and Ben Tapuai - who both scored twice against Samoa - start once more and the side includes multiple cap winners like Williams (77), Australia’s Benn Robinson (72) and South Africa’s Pierre Spies (53).
