Stephen Leigh Halfpenny

Stephen Leigh Halfpenny was born in Swansea on 22 December 1988 and educated at Penyrheol Comprehensive School. Originally a member of the Neath club and the Ospreys Academy he joined Cardiff Blues in 2007 and the following year made his debut on the wing for Wales.In 2009 he toured South Africa with the British Isles but made only one appearance before injury curtailed his tour. By August 2011 he had scored 62 points, including seven tries, in 20 tests for Wales. Leigh Halfpenny was a replacement for the Barbarians against New Zealand in 2009.
