Paul Henry Sackey was born in Westminster on 8 November 1979 and educated at John Fisher School, Purley. He played on the wing for Bedford, London Irish, Wasps, Toulon and Stade Francais. He represented England under-21 and Sevens and between 2006 and 2009 scored 11 tries in 22 tests. He also played in the 2007 Rugby World Cup Final. Having been invited on the 2004 Barbarians' summer tour he was called up by England and then played against the club at Twickenham. In 2005 he again played for the England XV, scoring two tries in a 39-52 defeat. He eventually became a Barbarian on the 2010 tour.
