The Barbarians will return to Twickenham Stadium to take on England for the Old Mutual Wealth Cup in 2017.

The famous invitation side returns to Twickenham Stadium on Sunday, May 28, before Eddie Jones’s men head for their two-Test series in Argentina.

Tickets are now on sale for the fixture and available from £5 for children and £25 for adults via englandrugby.com/tickets

It will be the 16th time the sides have met since 1990 with England leading the entertaining series 8-7.

In that time the Barbarians have fielded a cast of rugby greats with David Campese, Jonah Lomu, Jerry Guscott, Agustin Pichot, Brian O’Driscoll, Sergio Parisse and Joe Rokocoko among those to pull on the famous black and white shirt.

The Barbarians last success against England was a 39-29 win in 2014 with New Zealand’s Rico Gear scoring twice but they suffered a record 73-12 defeat in 2015, three days after beating Ireland 22-21 at Thomond Park.

The club returned to action in style this season with three November games that saw them hold South Africa to a 31-31 draw at Wembley before beating the Czech Republic 71-0 and Fiji 40-7.
